Bailey's fifth season playing softball. This one is the first at 10U and the first where the girls pitch against each other. We took several pitching lessons and Bailey has done very well learning to pitch.
The Christmas Holidays were a fun time. I took time off work and went to the ice skating rink with Bailey. We baked jam tarts together. And we had a party at everyone's house.
What a great snow in January. Not the usual sludge and frozen ice. We were able to build this snowman that lasted for several days until he finally disappeared.
Over the 4th of July weekend we drove to Birmingham to pickup Bailey's friend Lucy. The two of them are like peas in a pod and get along like a house on fire. We saw fireworks in the City of Roswell as well as set off a few of our own that we picked up on the Alabama state line. The girls spent most of their time swimming.
Bailey had her birthday party at Hot Wheels again this year. It was a lot of fun. We surprised Bailey by having Lucy attend all the way from Birmingham. The two spent the night together and had a great time.
Bailey's third season at 8U softball and Sandy Plains was a lot of fun. She was by far one of the best players on the team. She had several triples and even an inside the park home run which was a blast to watch.
Everyone helped with dying Easter Eggs. Klare was the Easter Bunny at our house this year and she had fun getting the kids participate. Bailey also went to Merideth's birthday party where they played laser tag.
For Halloween Bailey dressed up as a High School Musical character. She went trick-or-treeting around the neighborhood with her two friends from across the street.
May was a busy month. Bailey's softball team ended the season much improved from the first game. Bailey has been taking riding lessons and really enjoys being on a horse. We also went to the Braves game and the annual Bark in the Park game. This year we took both dogs.
June included the annual Father's Day and Birthday celebration at Meadow Wood Ct. It also included the annual trip to St. George FL. The house this year was on the beach, with a perfect view of the ocean. The beach was as beautiful as usual and dolphin sightings were a regular occurance. Bailey had fun surfing the waves.
